Philips SHP1900 (Impulse Buy)

Medyo long overdue na but here's another one of my headphones. Guess how much? Php 615 only! Super comfortable. These are my new everyday, all-around cans. Sound? Decent. Can't go wrong with Php 615. I have to say, I haven't enjoyed something this much for that price. To-follow nalang long review.

Sir Rasta,

Hehe oo nga no... I did a very short review sa blog ko. Not much comments sa sound but sa affordability.

It's under US$30 e. Some, dito sa pinas, have listed at around 1k. Ang haba daw ng cable, around 19 feet.... I want an alternative kase to my Sennheiser MX55. Sabi ko, makasubok nga ng headphone naman. I'll be using it mostly for media t home, & playing games. Mobile, I still think I'll go for the MX55.

I saw a couple of these last weekend sa Astrovision and sa SM Appliance center. They're selling new ones for P1,299. Tapos yung ka-deal ko naman e binabaan pa, now P700 na lang daw yung almost new na headset nya. To add to this, I saw a Sennheiser HD201 selling for P1300.

Choices, choices, choices...

Sennheiser HD201, if ever you decide to up your budget, would be the safe choice. It's very comfortable, light, sound is good (lots of followers), and it's best used with portable players. However, if you're like me who'd rather buy used (but pristine condition) stuff, I'd still go for the Php 700 Philips. I think it's a steal for that price - if it's really, really like new. Maybe I'd ask for a box and whatever comes with the box so it would really feel like you bought it from a store.

It's hard to pick one for you kasi ang layo nung budget choices eh. New vs. used, Php 700 vs. Php 1,300.

So ganito nalang suggestion ko: If brand new = Sennheiser; If you'd like to save P600 = Used Philips.

Hope this helps.

Update:

Hindi pa ko nakakbili.

I ended up buying a 250GB hard drive and a ventilated enclosure for it. I'm using it as backup to my laptop's rather small HD. I better start re-thinking the things I'm buying. Puro palabas ang pera...

I'll let you know, if I get around to buying a headset, which one I'll get.
